Using film, lecture, music and a Q and A session, award winning multi-media musician / filmmaker Stephen Dijoseph’s SynapTic Adventure Live chronicles his experience of growing up, living and thriving with Tourettes Syndrome. This unique program focuses on universal themes of challenge, adaptation, collaboration, creativity and the “art in the syndrome” presented with Dijoseph’s trademark talents, humor and insight.” My goal with this film/program is to bring to awareness that great minds like Tesla, Hughes, Lincoln and many more lived and created with (and perhaps because of ) spectrum conditions. In fact, these conditions were and are fuel for creativity! ” A strong focus will be placed on the “Art in the Syndrome”, as well as giving the audience a point-of-view experience that brings both insight and a sense that there is a very clear common ground aspect that all can relate to in these “neural variances.”

A seasoned musician/performer of 30 years, Stephen has released 8 CD’s, 10 video productions, toured in the US and abroad and now presents his award winning short autobiographical film ‘ A SynapTic Adventure : Tourettes and Beyond ‘ which won Best Documentary in the Bucks Fever Film Fest 2013 . Dijoseph’s film has been featured on Comcast Xfinity OnDemand. Recent press includes the Philadelphia Inquirer, WHYY-NPR Newsworks with Peter Crimmins and the Times Herald of Montgomery County PA, with a live radio appearance on Philadelphia’s WXPN radio. ‘SynapTic Adventure’ has gone on to the 16th Annual Washington DC Indie Film Festival, Bergenfield Film Festival and the most recent Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival. Two-time Academy Award winner Ron Judkins says of SynapTic Adventure ” I was truly moved by Stephen’s story, music and ability as a director to pull me into his adventure!”
